To celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Sousou no Frieren anime — based on the manga by Yamada Kanehito and Abe Tsukasa — a special Season 2 Pickup Screening event has been announced for Saturday, September 26, 2026, taking place simultaneously at nine cinemas across Japan.

Episodes Selected for Screening

The event will screen a curated selection of Season 2 highlights in high quality, including:

• Episode 29 “Let’s Go Then” — Part A, marking the start of Season 2’s adventure
• Episode 31 “Favorite Place” — Part B, and Episode 32 “Someone’s Hometown” — Part A, featuring the fan-favorite date between Fern and Stark
• Episodes 34 “Request for Extermination”, 35 “Revolte of Divine Arts”, and 36 “A Fine End” — comprising the Shingi no Revolte Arc, with its intense battles against the Demon tribe
• Episode 37 “Himmel’s Autobiography” — Part B, depicting the bonds of the hero’s party
• Episode 38 “A Beautiful View” — the Season 2 finale

Stage Greeting and Live Viewing

A stage greeting will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo, featuring five voice actors:

• Atsumi Tanezaki as Frieren
• Kana Ichinose as Fern
• Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark
• Tarusuke Shingaki as Genau (main character in the Shingi no Revolte Arc)
• Reina Ueda as Methode (main character in the Shingi no Revolte Arc)

The stage greeting will also be broadcast as a Live Viewing to the other eight participating cinemas.

Attendee Gift

All attendees will receive a set of two postcards featuring:

• The official Sousou no Frieren 3rd Anniversary commemorative visual, to be unveiled on the day of the event
• An illustration of Mahat of the Golden Land drawn by character designer Takase Maru, originally distributed at the Sousou no Frieren Special Event held within Anime Expo 2026
