The Pocket Monsters TV anime and the smartphone game Pokémon GO are joining forces for a special collaboration episode titled “Hirogaru Sekai, Kimi to GO!” (A World That Spreads, GO with You!). Airing as episode 150 of the series on September 18, the crossover event is accompanied by a newly released collaboration PV.
What Happens in the Episode
In episode 150, Liko and her companions head out on a fieldwork expedition alongside Professor Willow from Pokémon GO. As the group conducts their research, the episode will reveal the story behind Friede and Charizard’s first meeting. Fans of Pokémon GO will also spot a familiar sight — PokéStops make an appearance within the anime’s world.
In-Game Collab Event
From September 16 to 22, Pokémon GO will host a tie-in event to celebrate the collaboration. Key highlights include:
- Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles will appear in the game.
- Using the GO Snapshot AR photo feature during the event period will cause Liko and her friends, along with various Pokémon, to appear in players’ photos.
- A special promo code will be announced during the September 18 broadcast, guaranteeing an encounter with Friede’s goggle-wearing Charmander alongside a limited-edition background.
