Fans of Yu Yu Hakusho have something exciting to look forward to: the 「Ichiban Kuji Yu Yu Hakusho: Makai no Tobira-hen」 (Chapter of the Demon Plane Door) lottery line has been announced, set to go on sale both in stores and online from Friday, September 25, 2026. Each draw is priced at 850 yen (tax included at 10%).
About Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho is a battle manga by Yoshihiro Togashi serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1994. The story follows Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent teenager who dies in an accident and is revived as a Spirit Detective, going on to battle evil demons alongside his companions Kazuma Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei. The series became a massive hit both in Japan and internationally.
The TV anime adaptation aired from October 1992 for a total of 112 episodes, produced by Studio Pierrot. The voice cast includes Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke, Shigeru Chiba as Kuwabara, Megumi Ogata as Kurama, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei, and Sanae Miyuki as Botan. A live-action drama adaptation was also released on Netflix in December 2023.
The “Chapter of the Demon Plane Door” Theme
This Ichiban Kuji series is themed around the fan-favorite “Chapter of the Demon Plane Door” (Makai no Tobira-hen) arc, in which Yusuke and his allies fight desperately to stop former Spirit Detective Shinobu Sensui from tearing open a hole to the Demon Plane in the human world.
