About the Series
Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica began as an original TV anime in 2011, following ordinary second-year middle-school student Kaname Madoka as a mysterious encounter draws her into the world of magical girls. The TV series was later re-edited into two compilation films — [Part 1] Beginnings and [Part 2] Eternal — released in 2012, followed by the acclaimed [New Chapter] Rebellion in 2013.
Walpurgisnacht Rising is a fully original new film that serves as a direct sequel to Rebellion, arriving more than 13 years after its predecessor.
