The currently screening film Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten — the first new entry in the series in 13 years — has unveiled details on a brand-new character: the Nameless Upperclassman / Wus, voiced by Sakamoto Maaya.
Who Is the Nameless Upperclassman / Wus?
Described as a mysterious girl who bears a striking resemblance to Homura, Wus was once guided to the “Cycle of Karma” (円環の理) but found her way back to the living world through a place called Natsuka Sokone (名塚底根). Her true name and identity remain unknown to everyone around her.
New PV and Week-Three Attendance Bonus
On September 12 at 6:00 p.m. JST, Aniplex One Focus streamed a new promotional video featuring footage of Wus directly from the film.
Also beginning September 12, theaters began distributing the Week-Three attendance bonus: a Visual Postcard Set. The two-card set — featuring illustrations of “Madoka / Wus” and “Homura / Wus” — continues the visual style established by the film’s first key visual.
