The Aniplex One Focus livestream event held on Saturday unveiled a new promotional video and additional cast members for Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance (Heart’s Resonance), an all-new feature-length anime film sequel to the original Expelled from Paradise.

Rie Kugimiya reprises her role as Angela Balzac, joined by a new ensemble of voice actors:

- Yoshino Aoyama as Danel
- Sally Amaki as Raguel
- Sumire Morohoshi as Penem
Staff
The film reunites the core creative team behind the original, with Seiji Mizushima directing, Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus) on script, Masatsugu Saitō handling character design, and NARASAKI composing the score. Toei Animation is producing the animation.

A Note on the Title
The film was initially announced under the title Rakuen Tsuihō: Liberated from Paradise, but subsequent announcements revised it to Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance, also referred to as Rakuen Tsuihō: Kokoro no Resonance.
Looking Back at the Original Film
Expelled from Paradise opened in Japan in November 2014 across 13 theaters, selling over 110,000 tickets. Its Blu-ray and DVD release in Japan surpassed 70,000 copies sold, and the film took home the Best Animation of the Year prize at the 24th Japan Movie Critics Awards in May 2015.
Aniplex of America brought the film to 15 U.S. theaters in December 2014, followed by a Blu-ray release across North, Central, and South America in June 2015. Most recently, the film returned to Japanese theaters in November 2024 in 4K as Expelled from Paradise -Impelled by 10th Anniversary-, marking its tenth anniversary.
