The official YouTube channel for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise began streaming a special animated video on Monday, created to promote the upcoming “YU-GI-OH! ART WORKS” art exhibit dedicated to the works of the late Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi.
The exhibit is scheduled to run at Creative Museum Tokyo from December 12, 2026 through February 21, 2027, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience Takahashi’s iconic artwork up close.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Franchise Legacy
Kazuki Takahashi’s Yu-Gi-Oh! manga originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1996 to 2004, spawning a globally beloved franchise that continues to thrive today through card games, anime, toys, and new manga series.
The most recent anime entry in the franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! — the eighth main series in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime lineup — premiered in April 2022, entered its third year on air in April 2024, and concluded in March 2025.
Meanwhile, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX 20th Remaster, a remastered version of the classic GX anime, began airing on TV Tokyo in April 2025 to mark the series’ 20th anniversary.
