The official website for the Reborn as a Space Mercenary television anime — based on Ryūto and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima’s light novel series Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! — has unveiled the main promotional video, a new key visual, and two additional cast members.
The promo video offers the first preview of the anime’s opening theme song, “Unstoppable,” performed by rock band FLOW. Metal band ASTERISM will handle the ending theme with a track titled “My Way.”

Story
When Satou Takahiro is swept away from his ordinary life into the world of his favorite video game, a universe of space battles, interstellar colonies, and boundless danger awaits. Now living as “Hiro” the mercenary — complete with a tricked-out starship and companions by his side — he fights space pirates, rescues those in need, and sets out to live his new life exactly as he pleases.
Source Material
Ryūto began serializing the original story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2019, and it remains ongoing. Kadokawa published the first print volume in July 2019 with illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima; the 17th volume arrived on May 9. Seven Seas Entertainment, which holds the English-language license for both the novels and manga, released the 15th novel volume on May 26.
Shinichi Matsui’s manga adaptation launched on ComicWalker (now KadoComi) in November 2019. Kadokawa released the manga’s 11th compiled volume on March 23, while Seven Seas published the 10th English volume on March 31.
