The anime adaptation of Demons Crest has unveiled four new cast members alongside fresh character visuals. All four portray classmates of protagonist Ashihara Yuma in Class 6-1.

Story Overview

Demons Crest is based on a novel by Kawahara Reki, the creator of Sword Art Online. The story takes place in an isolated world where the full-dive VRMMO-RPG Actual Magic has merged with reality, trapping children inside a deadly death game.

New Cast Members

• Kobayashi Yusuke as Sugamo Mitsuki — class representative and captain of the soccer club
• Uchida Maaya as Misono Aria — a girl at the top of the class social hierarchy
• Murakawa Rie as Kisanuki Kai — a seemingly timid student with a sharp eye for observation
• Amamiya Sora as Watamaki Sumika — an idol-like figure immensely popular among the boys in class; Amamiya reprises the role she voiced in the original novel’s PV

Kobayashi Yusuke (Sugamo Mitsuki)

I’ll be voicing Sugamo Mitsuki! This is a story of boys and girls trapped in a game world, facing threats from monsters and the paranoia that comes with human relationships — it’s an incredibly harsh situation for children. Mitsuki tends to stir up trouble with his words and actions, but I’d like to believe it comes from a sense of responsibility and duty. I’m giving it my all to freeze the atmosphere in every scene he’s in (laughs). I hope viewers enjoy trying to piece together the story as it unfolds!

Uchida Maaya (Misono Aria)

I’m Uchida Maaya, voicing Misono Aria in Demons Crest! The eerie, unpredictable atmosphere of the series keeps me on the edge of my seat at every recording session. Aria is a clumsy girl who has a hard time showing her true feelings. I’m really looking forward to seeing how she navigates this story alongside her classmates!

Murakawa Rie (Kisanuki Kai)

I’m Murakawa Rie, playing Kisanuki Kai! I’m so happy to be part of this amazing series. The PV looks so cool but also deeply unsettling. Kai is a mysterious character — even the Dengeki Bunko character introduction doesn’t reveal his job class in Actual Magic. Please keep a close eye on him! There are also anime-original elements, so both readers of the source material and newcomers should find something fresh to enjoy. It’s a game, but it’s also reality — please look forward to it!

Amamiya Sora (Watamaki Sumika)

I’m so happy to be reprising Watamaki Sumika from the original novel’s PV into the anime! Sumika is the heroine type of the class — graceful, cute, and kind-hearted. Since the series has a lot of battle scenes, I’m enjoying playing up the contrast between her everyday self and her fighting side. The first anime PV ended on an ominous note with Yuma’s line, “Is that… Watamaki-san…?” Please pay close attention to what happens to Sumika!
