Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the main promotional video for the second cour of its magical girl television anime Mahō no Shimai Lulutto Lilly (Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly), produced in partnership with Studio Pierrot. The trailer offers a first listen to the new opening theme song “Swingin’ Magic”, performed by K-pop girl group ILLIT.
Second Cour Premiere
The second part of the anime is set to debut on October 4 on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST, with simulcasts on ABC TV, TV Aichi, BS NTV, and AT-X.

Guest cast members include Takako Ohta and Yū Mizushima, who are best known for voicing Yū Morisawa / Creamy Mami and Toshio Ohtomo, respectively, in the classic Magical Angel Creamy Mami franchise. Newly announced cast for the second cour are Miyari Nemoto as Asahi Araki, Yusuke Shirai as Mucchi, and Yūko Natsuyoshi as Shiromofu.
Theme Songs
ILLIT performs the new opening theme “Swingin’ Magic”, while the in-anime idol unit Lulutto Lilly — comprising Lilly Konpeto (May Tachibana) and Lulu Mashū (Nao Ojika) — handles the ending theme “Dream a la Mode.”
Staff
Shintarō Dōge (assistant director on Arknights: Perish in Frost; episode director on Pet) directs the anime at Studio Pierrot and is credited for the original character designs. Yūko Kakihara (Blue Box; Urusei Yatsura 2022 & 2024) supervises and writes the series scripts. Character design duties are shared by Namiko Tori (Pokémon: Paldean Winds), Hirono Nishiki (My Dress-Up Darling), and Asami Sodeyama (Witchy Precure! -MIRAI DAYS-).
Streaming & Availability
The first cour premiered on April 5 on Tokyo MX and affiliated channels. The anime runs for two cours with a break in between. Streaming is available via Ani-One and Bahamut in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan; Anime Generation and Man-ga (broadcast) in Italy; Anime Box in Spain; and Tubi in the United States and Canada.
Bandai Namco Filmworks’ YouTube channel began streaming the first two episodes on April 18 with subtitles in 16 languages, expanding to 26 languages by the time episode 12 was posted on June 27. Coverage spans North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia, though full episodes are not currently available in Southeast Asia.
