Studio Ghibli has announced that Kiki’s Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便) 4K UHD + Blu-ray Set, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, will go on sale on November 25 in a special Digipak package.
Background: The 4K Remaster
The 4K Digital Remaster of Kiki’s Delivery Service previously screened in IMAX theaters in North America in March, followed by a theatrical run in Japan from June onward. The upcoming home video release brings that same stunning clarity to viewers at home.
What’s in the Set
The set is a two-disc package comprising a 4K UHD disc and a Blu-ray disc, both produced from the same new master. The upgraded presentation sharpens every detail — from character expressions and movement to the film’s beautifully rendered townscapes and action sequences — while also delivering crisp, high-quality audio.
This marks the third Studio Ghibli feature film to receive a 4K UHD release, following The Boy and the Heron (君たちはどう生きるか) and Princess Mononoke (もののけ姫).
