The TV anime adaptation of Chie Shinohara‘s manga Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori has officially revealed its Cour 2 main visual and full promotional video (PV).

The new key visual sets its characters against a sunset-drenched Oriental landscape. Featured are Yuri, the heroine swept up in the tides of fate; Kail, the Hittite prince drawn irresistibly to her; Nakia, the cold-eyed empress weaving her schemes; Urhi, the cloaked figure who shadows her every move; and Ramses, the Egyptian general destined to become Kail’s greatest rival. Between Yuri and Kail — their hands reaching toward each other — lies a crumbling letter, a visual metaphor for the fragile bond between them.
Full PV with Nana Mizuki’s Opening Theme
The PV plays to 「暁の星」(Akatsuki no Hoshi), the Cour 2 opening theme performed by Nana Mizuki. It introduces Juda, Nakia’s son who will become a major driving force in the story, as well as Ursula, the so-called “false Ishtar.” The footage teases the escalating rivalry between Kail and Ramses over Yuri, and the increasingly dangerous conspiracy surrounding the imperial succession.
Episode 13 Preview: “A Letter from Egypt”
A synopsis and advance stills for Episode 13, titled 「エジプトからの書簡」(“A Letter from Egypt”), have also been released. Following the Hittite army’s victory against Mitanni and its return home, Yuri — having missed her chance to return to modern-day Japan — resumes her life in Hattusa. Then one day, a letter arrives from the enemy nation of Egypt. Episode 13, the Cour 2 premiere, is set to air on September 29.
