The official website for the television anime adaptation of Odebu Akujo ni Tensei Shitara, Nazeka Last Boss Ōjisama ni Shūchaku Sareteimasu — known in English as The Final-Boss Prince is Somehow Obsessed with the Chubby Villainess: Reincarnated Me — dropped a wave of new information on Wednesday, including the anime’s first full promotional video, first key visual, additional cast members, new staff credits, and a confirmed January 2027 premiere date.
The series will broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, AT-X, and CBC TV, and will stream on the d Anime Store service in Japan.
Story
After dying of illness, the protagonist is reincarnated as Celine, the selfish, overweight villainess duchess and sister of the heroine from a popular novel. Knowing that her fate in the story is to be slain by the hero prince, she resolves to reform herself with everything she has — only to find herself entangled in an unexpected web of obsessive devotion. Will Celine ever find her own “peaceful happiness”? The series is a fantasy romance set in another world, where the heroine is loved far too intensely by a yandere.
