A nationwide bookstore fair for the manga Kusuriya no Hitorigoto ~Maomao no Koukyuu Nazotoki Techou~ (The Apothecary Diaries: Maomao’s Court Pharmacy Notebook) kicked off on October 1 at participating stores across Japan. The series is drawn by Minoji Kurata, based on the original novel by Natsu Hyuuga.
Three Clear Pop Designs — Doubles as a Bookmark
Customers at participating stores can receive a shelf-insert clear pop (棚差しクリアポップ) as a gift with purchase. Three designs are available: one featuring Maomao, one featuring Jinshi, and one featuring both characters together. Each design showcases expressive, in-story moments from the manga. The pop can also be cut apart and used as a clear bookmark.
Free 72-Hour Read on Sunday Webry
In addition, Shogakukan’s web manga platform Sunday Webry will make chapters 1 through 51 of the series available to read for free. The limited window runs for 72 hours only, from October 2 to October 4.
