The anime adaptation of Demons Crest has released its second promotional video alongside new cast announcements and the reveal of its ending theme song.
About the Series
Demons Crest is based on a novel by Reki Kawahara, the creator of Sword Art Online. The story unfolds in an isolated world where the full-dive VRMMO-RPG “Actual Magic” has merged with reality, trapping its players in a deadly death game.
New Cast Members
Two additional cast members have been revealed for classmates of protagonist Ashihara Yuma in class 6-1:
- Haizaki Shin, the student council president — voiced by Tamaru Atsushi
- Futaki Sho, the vice president and gifted athlete — voiced by Murase Ayumu
Comment from Tamaru Atsushi (Haizaki Shin)
“Haizaki Shin is a student council president who commands deep trust from his classmates. When chaos breaks out, students will naturally turn to him for guidance — yet his actions seem to hint at a larger, hidden purpose. The battle scenes in the game world add real excitement, and I think the animation brings out the best of this story. Please look forward to seeing how Shin relates to Yuma and what he’s truly after.”
Comment from Murase Ayumu (Futaki Sho)
“I’m deeply honored to be part of another of Kawahara-sensei’s works following Sword Art Online. Futaki shares a bond of mutual trust with Haizaki and is equally respected by their peers. He’s athletic, level-headed, and dependable — I’ve been playing him with the image of a reliable ‘big brother’ figure. I hope everyone will be on the edge of their seats watching the fate of these young people trapped inside the game world!”
Ending Theme: “ReaL” by Soala
Singer-songwriter Soala has written and will perform the ending theme “ReaL” exclusively for the series.
“‘ReaL’ carries the message of never forgetting to believe in the friends who support you and in yourself, even in moments of loneliness. It’s a powerful, impactful song, and I hope it — along with Demons Crest — will be loved by as many people as possible.” — Soala
To celebrate the song’s reveal, the official Demons Crest X (Twitter) account is running a campaign to give away two hand-signed Soala posters via lottery.
