Fans of the cyberpunk classic have reason to open their wallets: a special apparel collaboration between Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL and fashion brand FREAK’S STORE has been announced, with pre-orders opening on October 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. JST. Items will be available through Shogakukan’s official e-commerce platform 小学館百貨店 (Shogakukan Hyakkaten) and FREAK’S STORE’s own online store, Daytona Park.

About Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell is a landmark cyberpunk franchise set in a near future where advanced information networks and cyborg technology allow humans to connect their brains directly to a digital world. The story centers on Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg who leads a special unit combating cybercrime. Original creator Shirow Masamune first published the manga in 1989, and the property has since spawned animated films directed by Mamoru Oshii, a Hollywood live-action adaptation, and multiple anime series. The latest TV anime, THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, aired its final episode on September 8, 2026 and is currently streaming on Prime Video and other platforms.

The Collaboration Collection

The collection is a three-way project between Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, FREAK’S STORE, and DIME — Shogakukan’s business-trend media brand — combining the anime’s world-building with playful, fashion-forward sensibilities. The lineup includes the following pieces:

Colored Key Visual Tee (2nd Wave)

A slightly wide-cut tee printed with the series’ key visual as a tribute to the source material. The Fuchikoma ridden by Kusanagi is rendered in both its original colors and a military camouflage pattern characteristic of FREAK’S STORE. The cotton-blend fabric is substantial enough for three seasons of wear.

Sticker Fuchikoma Tee

This tee puts the beloved AI-equipped think-tank Fuchikoma front and center, adorned with cyber-style stickers and graphics for a bold, collaboration-exclusive design. DIME and FREAK’S STORE versions feature different colorways.

SceneShot Tee

A graphic tee featuring still images from memorable scenes in Episodes 1, 6, and 7 of THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, arranged in a clean layout that’s easy to style for everyday wear.

Collage Long-Sleeve Tee

A long-sleeve tee that deconstructs and reassembles imagery of Kusanagi’s prosthetic body parts and cyberbrain components into a collage, evoking the electronic world of Ghost in the Shell. The DIME exclusive version features a front print that works equally well as a standalone piece or as a layering item.

Cyborg PK

A pullover that makes a statement with a bold back-print of a striking scene depicting the rear of a cyborg body. When worn, the graphic spreads across the entire back, symbolizing prostheticization and cyberbrain enhancement. Features ribbed sleeves for ease of movement; DIME and FREAK’S STORE versions come in two different colors.

Military Blouson

A stadium jacket-style blouson ideal for early autumn through winter. The DIME exclusive version is a premium offering featuring the series logo — as designed by legendary artist Hajime Sorayama, known internationally for his exploration of the beauty of the human body and machinery — printed both front and back.

B3 Poster

Rounding out the collection is a B3-size poster inspired by street-culture flyers, combining Kusanagi, Fuchikoma, and cyber motifs in a collage that captures the essence of the Ghost in the Shell universe.
