The upcoming fall 2026 TV anime マウスカーソルで現実を操作できるようになったので、女の子をいっぱいクリックしまーす — loosely translatable as “Now That I Can Manipulate Reality with a Mouse Cursor, I’m Going to Click Girls a Whole Lot” — has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for its first episode, “Fushigi na Mouse Cursor” (The Mysterious Mouse Cursor). The episode is set to air on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
A Self-Proclaimed New Genre
Based on the manga by Okumaro, the series bills itself as “Japan’s first (probably) new genre: a love-comedy about clicking a gal who isn’t nice to otaku with a mouse cursor.” It is produced under the “AnimeFestaオリジナル” label — known to fans as the “Sōryowaku” brand — directed by Norizawa Makoto, with animation by studio HōKIBOSHI.
Episode 1 Synopsis
During an IT class, otaku protagonist Matsuo Takumi notices that his mouse cursor has somehow escaped beyond the boundaries of his screen into the real world. He nervously asks his childhood friend Himeno Moene, who sits next to him, whether she can see it — but she can’t, and she mocks him for it.
Realizing he alone can see and control the cursor, Takumi slips it into the gap of Moene’s clothing and begins clicking her body repeatedly. As Moene squirms from the unfamiliar sensation, a right-click context menu suddenly appears with the words “本番” (the real thing / next step) — leaving Takumi stunned as to what that could possibly mean…
