The official website for the television anime adaptation of ELECEED — the webtoon series by author Jeho Son and artist ZHENA — has begun streaming an English-subtitled trailer and confirmed that the premiere has been pushed back to April 2027. Amuse Creative Studio had originally announced a 2026 debut for the project.
Story
Hidden beneath the surface of the modern world are associations of people known as the Awakened — individuals with superhuman abilities. High schooler Jiwoo Seo is completely unaware of this world, living in quiet fear while concealing a mysterious power of his own. Everything changes when he nurses an injured stray cat back to health and the animal suddenly speaks: “Let go of me already, you fool!!”
The stray cat is revealed to be Kayden, the mightiest of all the Awakened, transformed into a cat by unknown means and unable to revert to human form. He moves in with Jiwoo, and the unlikely pair are soon pulled into the organizations and conspiracies that make up the Awakened world — led, improbably, by a cat.
