Star Child Records — King Records’ dedicated anime and voice-actor label — is marking its 45th anniversary this year. Founded in 1981, the label known affectionately as “Sutacha” kicked off the celebrations on October 21 by simultaneously unlocking streaming access to original soundtracks and character songs from five of its classic anime titles across digital music platforms worldwide.
Five Classic Titles Now Available to Stream
The newly available titles are:
- Bannou Bunka Neko-Musume (万能文化猫娘) — based on the manga by Yuzo Takada
- Akihabara Dennou Gumi (アキハバラ電脳組)
- Soreyuke! Uchuu Senkan Yamamoto Youko (それゆけ！宇宙戦艦ヤマモト・ヨーコ)
- Saber Marionette (セイバーマリオネット)
- NG Knight Lamune & 40 (NG騎士ラムネ&40)
Time-Limited YouTube Screenings
Alongside the music rollout, the official KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE YouTube channel will host time-limited free screenings of the anime themselves, according to the following schedule:
- Bannou Bunka Neko-Musume TV Series (12 episodes + SP-1 & SP-2) — available October 23, 2026 at 21:00 through November 23, 2026 at 20:59
- Bannou Bunka Neko-Musume New OVA (12 episodes) — available November 6, 2026 at 21:00 through December 7, 2026 at 20:59
- Soreyuke! Uchuu Senkan Yamamoto Youko (OVA I: 3 episodes; OVA II: 3 episodes) — available November 13, 2026 at 21:00 through December 14, 2026 at 20:59
Live Premiere Watch-Along Events
On the opening day of each title’s streaming window, the channel will host an “Ikki-mi Premiere Screening” (イッキ見プレミア上映会) — a binge-watch premiere event where viewers can enjoy real-time chat with fellow fans as they watch together. The events offer both longtime fans a chance to revisit beloved classics and newer audiences an opportunity to discover the label’s storied catalogue for the first time.
