Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudou Musume (てつりょー！meet with 鉄道むすめ) is a fully original TV anime inspired by Tomytec’s long-running Tetsudou Musume character series, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The series is not adapted from any manga or novel. It began broadcasting on TOKYO MX and BS Fuji on 8 October 2026, airing every Thursday at midnight (24:00 JST).
Story
Misaki, a first-year university student who has yet to find her passion, stumbles upon the Tetsuryo-kai (Railway Travel Club) at a campus club fair. After joining, she befriends her seniors Kodama, Ushio, and Usa. Club president Kodama soon invites Misaki on a welcome trip to the Choshi Electric Railway. Though she knows little about trains, the journey sparks a new sense of excitement within her.
Highlights
The anime’s appeal lies in its warm portrayal of real-life Japanese railway travel seen through the eyes of a newcomer. Familiar Tetsudou Musume characters appear as railway staff within the story’s world, bridging the franchise’s history with a fresh narrative.
