Maruzen Junkudo bookstores have announced an original merchandise line based on Doubutsu no Oisha-san (動物のお医者さん), the beloved manga by Sasaki Michiko. The series follows the humorous everyday lives of veterinary students at a university in Hokkaido, anchored by a cast of unforgettable animal characters.
What’s in the Lineup
The goods collection will spotlight several fan-favourite characters:
- Chobi — the expressive Siberian Husky whose face is often described as looking like a “Hannya mask,” yet radiates irresistible charm. Multiple expressions are expected to feature across the items.
- Mike — the intimidating three-coloured cat who speaks in a rough Kansai dialect.
- Hiyo-chan — the dignified and imposing rooster.
