An official real escape game collaboration with the anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries) has been announced. Titled “殺意潜む祝宴からの脱出” (Escape from the Banquet of Hidden Malice), the event will launch at Tokyo Mystery Circus in Tokyo on January 28, 2027, before expanding to other venues across Japan at dates to be announced later.
An Original Story Starring Maomao and Jinshi
The event features a fully original story created exclusively for this collaboration, complete with newly recorded voice performances from the cast. Participants take on the role of an apprentice apothecary attending a noble’s wedding ceremony alongside Maomao and Jinshi. The celebration takes a dark turn when the bride is poisoned and collapses during the ceremony. Mishandling the situation risks triggering a serious political incident.
To buy time, Maomao disguises herself as the bride — leaving players to step up in her place, tasked with both treating the real bride and investigating the poisoning before it’s too late.
Tickets and Schedule
At the Tokyo Mystery Circus venue, the event runs in the Himitsu Kichi Lab Daihall from January 28 to April 11, 2027. Advance tickets go on sale via Shonen Tantei SCRAP-dan on November 14.
A special bonus ticket tier is also available, bundled with an original coaster and an original teacup. Details on regional tour dates outside Tokyo will be revealed at a later date.
