Anime Expo announced last Monday that artist ALI and renowned composer Yoko Kanno (菅野よう子) will perform at the J-POP SOUND CAPSULE @ AX 2026 concert, completing the lineup. Previously confirmed names include girl group Roselia, rock band SPYAIR, and singer Yoko Takahashi (高橋洋子).
J-POP SOUND CAPSULE @ AX 2026 Concert Details
The concert will be held on July 2, 2026 from 20:00–23:00 PDT at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Tickets have been on sale since May 5.
Other Notable Anime Expo 2026 Events
Beyond the main concert, this year’s Anime Expo features several other special events, including:
- JAPAN MUSIC VOCALOID Powered by DWANGO — Held on July 4, featuring performances by Hachioji-P, kz (Livetune), picco, SatapanP, and TeddyLoid. Anime Expo badge holders can attend free of charge without purchasing an additional ticket.
- Special Screening of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? — The first official theatrical screening of this anime film in North America, scheduled for July 5 at 12:00 PDT.
- Macross Panel by BIGWEST — Held on July 2 at 13:00 PDT.

- Hiroyuki Watanabe (渡辺裕之), former editor-in-chief of Monthly Shonen Ace and a senior Kadokawa executive overseeing manga, light novels, and Shin-Bungei
- Masakazu Morita (森田成一), voice actor known for Bleach and Kingdom
- Machico (マチコ), voice actress known for Uma Musume: Pretty Derby and Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!
