Upcoming U.S. convention Anime Expo 2026 has continued to announce its event schedule and Japanese guest lineup over the past week, covering U.S. premiere screenings, panels, and special sessions from a wide variety of industry creators.
Premiere Screenings and Special Events
In addition to the U.S. premiere of the anime Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, the convention has also scheduled a screening of the original anime Goodbye, Lara (Sayonara Lara), directed by Takushi Koide. That screening will take place on July 2 at 12:30 PM PDT in Room 403AB.
On July 3 at 7:30 PM PDT at Crypto.com Arena, there will be a panel for the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, featuring director Kai Ikarashi, script supervisor Bartosz Sztybor, and executive producer Saya Elder.
Japanese Guest Lineup
- Fuyuki Hayashi, game director, will appear at the “Special Creator Session: Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis & Drunken Goddess Reflux” session on July 2 at 10:00 AM PDT.
- Kim YongHa, Executive Project Director of Blue Archive and head of NEXON Games’ IO Division, along with his team, will participate in the “Blue Archive & Beyond: A Special Panel by IO Division” panel on July 3 at 6:00 PM PDT.
- Voice actors Hana Hishikawa and Makoto Furukawa will attend the U.S. premiere screening of the TV anime Though I Am an Inept Villainess (Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga – Sōgū Chōso Torikae Den), adapted from the light novel by Satsuki Nakamura, on July 4 at 10:00 AM PDT.
- Voice actor Junya Enoki will join the “JUJUTSU KAISEN: Celebrating 5 Years of Curses with Cast Hosted by TOHO animation” panel on July 5 at 10:00 AM PDT.
