The production team behind the upcoming Genso Suikoden (幻想水滸伝) anime has unveiled its official key visual. Unlike the previously released image visuals, which focused on symbolic scenes from the story, this new key visual brings together five central characters — Riryuu, Jowy, Nanami, Viktor, and Flik — each depicted reaching out toward their own hopes and aspirations.
Preview Screening Attendee Gift
Alongside the key visual, details were announced for the attendee gift tied to a two-week limited preview screening beginning August 21. Each attendee will receive one randomly distributed card from a set of eight “Character Serif Stickers,” each featuring a character illustration paired with a memorable line of dialogue.
The reverse side of each sticker includes a QR code linking to a special webpage. By entering the sticker’s serial number, fans can unlock exclusive theater-only voice content unique to each character — including a message of gratitude to attendees and, in some cases, a message prompting the listener to imitate a pig, among other character-specific surprises.
Broadcast Information
The Genso Suikoden anime adapts Genso Suikoden II, one of the most beloved entries in the long-running Konami RPG series. It is scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2026 across TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, BS Asahi, and 32 stations nationwide in Japan. The premiere episode will be an extended 60-minute broadcast.
