Comments from Cast & Artists
Hinata Tadokoro (Greater Demon)
Tadokoro shared that reading the original work felt like chewing gum that just keeps getting more flavorful — every story left him smiling naturally. He’s grateful to be part of such a wonderful project and invites fans to receive the love of “Mama-nyan” with open arms.
Yoji Ueda (Moshamoshya, 4th Generation)
Ueda described Moshamoshya as a character who inherits special techniques across generations — calm on the surface but strict when needed, and entrusted with the important role of presiding over celebrations. He noted parallels to his own work as a voice actor and pledged to convey the story’s gentle warmth through his performance.
Saho Shirasuna (Mikemike)
Shirasuna said the work is overflowing with kindness and warmth, and that the cats’ adorable, free-spirited nature was deeply soothing. Mikemike is the guild’s mascot cat, and she looks forward to fans seeing the character move in the anime.
Natsuki Hanae (Monaruka, Black)
Hanae, who lives with cats himself, said recording was both relaxing and exciting. He described Monaruka as dignified and dependable, yet with a charmingly cat-like quirky side, and urged fans to look forward to the character’s debut.
Tomohisa Aso (Pompora)
Aso revealed that the production staff told him the episode featuring Pompora is one of the most popular in the original work. He called it a happy day and invited novel readers, manga fans, and cat lovers alike to enjoy Pompora’s episode as a “feast for the eyes.”
suis from Yorushika (Opening Theme “猫日”)
suis said the work made her feel deep affection for both the cats and the humans in the story. She expressed happiness at being able to pour her feelings about cats — like beloved family members — into the song, and added that having the track composed by the dear Tatsuya Kitani made it all the more special.
shallm (Ending Theme “ただいまの場所”)
shallm (by lia) said the cross-species love in the story warmed her heart. The ending theme sings of a deep bond that never changes regardless of distance, capturing the warmth of shared time and the bittersweet tenderness of watching someone set off on their journey.
