The anime series 「テニスの王子様」(The Prince of Tennis), based on the original work by Takeshi Konomi, has revealed its official key visual and logo for the series’ 25th anniversary celebration.
From Domestic Courts to the World Stage
The The Prince of Tennis anime first aired on TV Tokyo in October 2001. Its sequel, 新テニスの王子様 (The New Prince of Tennis), was adapted into a TV anime beginning in 2012, expanding the story’s stage from the Kanto regional level to the national level, and eventually to the world stage.
The long-running fan-favorite series will mark its 25th anniversary in October 2026. The staff are planning numerous events and projects throughout the “25th Anniversary Year,” which will continue through the end of December 2027.
25th Anniversary Special Program on YouTube
The first project to be announced is the special program 「アニメ『テニスの王子様』シリーズ25周年記念SP」, which will stream live on the official YouTube channel for the 新テニスの王子様 anime on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. Japan time.
The program will feature well-known voice actors from the series as guests, including:
- Junko Minagawa – Ryoma Echizen
- Ryotaro Okiayu – Kunimitsu Tezuka
- Yuki Kaida – Shusuke Fuji
- Junichi Suwabe – Keigo Atobe
- Yukiko Nagai – Seiichi Yukimura
- Tarusuke Shingaki – Eishiro Kite
The hosts will be Naru Kawamoto (Takashi Kawamura) and Masaya Onosaka (Takeshi Momoshiro).
