The TV anime Tempal ~The Power of the Item~ has unveiled its first promotional video (PV), first key visual, and new cast information.
First PV: Greed’s Growth
The first PV showcases the growth of protagonist Greed, who reclasses into the legendary profession “Descendant of Fagma” only to be forced to restart from level 1. Viewers can see Greed crafting equipment to overturn the game’s conventional rules, as well as tense scenes alongside characters Euphemia and Floy. The first key visual centers on a boldly smiling Greed, flanked by Euphemia and Floy.
New Cast and Comments
Saya Fukutsumi has been cast as Euphemia, and Shuntaro Takayama will voice Floy.
Fukutsumi commented on her role:
“The lively back-and-forth between Euphemia and Greed — who you can’t help but like no matter what — was so much fun to perform. I gave it everything I had to share that enjoyment with the audience. Euphemia is a mysterious beauty, and through the recording sessions I found myself drawn into her charm as well. I hope everyone looks forward to seeing how she becomes involved with Greed and the others!”
Takayama shared his enthusiasm for the project:
“As a gamer myself, I read the original work squirming with excitement, thinking ‘I want to play this game!’ The protagonist’s raw, forward-looking grit — pushing through real-life struggles by conquering the game world — is what makes this series so compelling. And Floy, who seems like a refreshing young man at first glance, turns out to be a really fascinating character. Please pay close attention to his relationship with Greed!”

Director Ayako Kawano explained that the team focused on translating the vast themes of the original novel and the impactful vertical-scroll reading experience of the webtoon into a horizontal-screen anime format. She also noted that the anime introduces a new “System AI” — an in-game guide voice within SATISFY — to deepen viewers’ sense of the game world. She confirmed that Greed moves and talks freely throughout the story, and asked fans to look forward to the October 2026 premiere.
Series Composition writer Kenta Inohara reflected on the appeal of the blacksmith craft and the protagonist’s character, noting that Greed is as greedy as his name implies, yet brimming with guts and humanity. He and Director Kawano structured the series around Greed’s efforts and growth, describing him as “deeply selfish yet warm-hearted, sloppy yet hardworking.” Inohara concluded: “His clumsy but passionate journey is about to begin.”
Story Overview
