คีย์วิชวลงาน Anime WORLD TRIGGER Exhibition REBOOT แสดงตัวละครหลักพร้อมธีมการก้าวไปข้างหน้า

To celebrate the REBOOT project of the anime World Trigger (ワールドトリガー), the organizers have announced a special exhibition, Anime WORLD TRIGGER Exhibition “REBOOT,” which will take fans back to the very beginning of the story. The Tokyo venue opens on August 11, 2026, and the Osaka venue follows from November 14, 2026. An official key visual has now been unveiled, along with detailed venue and ticketing information.

About World Trigger and the REBOOT Project

World Trigger is an SF action manga by Ashihara Daisuke, originally serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” before moving to “Jump SQ.” The story is set in the city of Mikado City, which faces an existential threat from invaders from another dimension called “Neighbors” (近界民). It begins with the encounter between Mikumo Osamu, a young boy who protects his city, and Kuga Yuma, a boy with supernatural combat powers and a secret oath he carries in his heart. Though polar opposites in personality and ability, the two grow together, becoming a genuine force in the city’s defense.

The TV anime has aired three seasons: Season 1 (October 2014 – April 2016), Season 2 (January – April 2021), and Season 3 (October 2021 – January 2022), winning fans throughout.

The REBOOT project will reconstruct content from chapter 1 of the original manga — covering the arcs “Border Recruitment Arc,” “Large-Scale Neighbor Invasion Arc,” and “B-Rank Battles Begin Arc” — entirely from scratch as an original anime production. Toei Animation, which handled Seasons 2 and 3, remains on the production team, and this version will upgrade “World Trigger Season 1” into a more powerful, definitive form.

Key Visual and Exhibition Highlights

The newly revealed key visual depicts the theme of “moving forward,” which serves as the symbol of REBOOT. The exhibition is divided into multiple zones:

  • Prologue ~Mikado City and Border~ — traces the story from the initial large-scale invasion to the founding of Border, presented through dioramas of Mikado City and video content
  • ZONE 1 ~The Encounter, the Beginning of the Story~ — follows the meeting of Osamu and Yuma, including the appearance of Chika, along with a chance to see Yuma in his Black Trigger and Replica
  • ZONE 2 ~Tamakoma Branch, Encounters and Resolve~ — features meetings with Yotaro and Raijinmaru, as well as explanations about Border from Usami and the senior members of Tamakoma
  • ZONE 3 ~Border HQ, Path to Growth~ — follows the Border enrollment and training to form a team, with a major highlight being a full-scale replica of a Border HQ training room
  • ZONE 4 ~Animation Document Exhibition~ — displays rare behind-the-scenes materials, including never-before-seen character design documents for REBOOT

There will also be areas for fans to leave messages and merchandise booths expected to offer a wide variety of goods.
