On May 27, the single “Venus to Jesus” (ヴィーナスとジーザス) — the opening theme of the TV anime Arakawa Under the Bridge (荒川アンダー ザ ブリッジ), adapted from the manga by Nakamura Hikaru — became officially available on various music streaming platforms.
The single, originally released in 2010, contains three tracks in total: the title song “Venus to Jesus”, “Mr. Mismaker”, and “nekomeshi”. All tracks have been remastered for this streaming release.
Notably, prior to this, “Venus to Jesus” was only available online in the version recorded live in a one-take studio session for RADIO ONSEN EUTOPIA. This streaming release marks the first time fans can listen to the original studio recording.
Alongside the streaming release, the full music video for “Venus to Jesus” has also dropped. Directed by Manabe Daito, the video features vocalist Yakushimaru Etsuko, shot in three dimensions as she freely expresses herself in her signature style.
