Volume 1 of the manga 「あそんじゃいけないトイボックス」(Ason ja Ikenai Toy Box), by Yukii Riu (雪井理沙), went on sale officially on May 25 under the Kadokawa Comics Ace imprint from KADOKAWA.
Story
Keisuke is a young salaryman utterly exhausted — body and soul — by the daily grind of office life. On his days off, all he can manage is to sleep in and escape from reality. One day, a childhood memory surfaces, and he picks up a toy bear named Coco and falls asleep with it one more time.
But when he wakes up, Coco has transformed into a small human-shaped girl and is inviting him to play with her just like when they were both little — whether it’s begging for snacks, asking to play board games, or dragging along a reluctant companion, all because Coco lives in the body of an adorable little girl. Keisuke simply can’t bring himself to say no.
In the midst of an everyday life full of Coco’s pure, unfiltered innocence, the weary heart of Keisuke gradually finds itself healed and restored, little by little.
