ผู้กำกับอาซากะ โมริโอะ และนากามูระ เรอิยะ ในรายการ Animedama ทางฟูจิทีวี

The anime showcase program “Animedama” on Fuji TV will feature two special guests on its Thursday night broadcast on May 28, 2026, at 24:45 (late night): Asaka Morio, director of the TV anime “Awashima Hyakkei” (淡島百景), adapted from the work of Shimura Takako, and Nakamura Reiya, a member of the group KEY TO LIT.

About the Animedama Program

Animedama is hosted by Higashino Koji, who presents highlights and behind-the-scenes information about various anime titles in a format called “Medama.” In this episode, Higashino will feature “Awashima Hyakkei” as a “seasonally recommended title,” speaking with director Asaka about everything from the creative process behind the anime — including the voice auditions, the vibrant visuals from the original work brought to life in animation — to topics that particularly fascinate Nakamura. There will also be a reveal of a pre-recorded Q&A session with Shimura Takako, the original manga author, who answers questions about her feelings upon learning the work would be adapted into an anime and which character she loves most.

Other Anime Featured in This Episode

  • “Thunder 3” (サンダー3) — A TV anime based on the original work by Ikeda Yuki; Nakamura, a fan of the series, will serve as the presenter.
  • “Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?” Season 2 — which Higashino has followed since the first season aired — revealed with the feeling of “watching over a nephew at play.”
  • “Toukutsu-ou” (盗掘王) — A TV anime deeply explored in both its content and production process, including a voice clip from Hoshiya Yoshimasa, the voice actor for the lead character Goriki Reika, discussing the differences between working on anime produced jointly between Korea and Japan compared to productions made exclusively in Japan, as well as the appeal of the vertical-scroll Webtoon format and the co-production ties with Korean originator REDICE STUDIO and 3B2S.

Nakamura Reiya’s Impressions After Filming

“I’ve watched anime my whole life, but when it comes to titles with female lead characters I usually tend to think of them as romance or laid-back slice-of-life and just drift past them. But after hearing about Awashima Hyakkei and watching it today, I really regret not having watched it sooner. Seeing it without any preconceptions was truly important. Getting to interact with Higashino and the Animedama staff through this program introduced me to works I’d never encountered before and opened up the anime world inside me even more. I really want everyone to enjoy it as much as possible.”

Nakamura also revealed that within the KEY TO LIT group, the members who most often recommend and talk about anime and manga to each other are Iwasaki Daigo and Ikari Soya. All three regularly recommend works to one another, and he also expressed great joy at having been able to talk about Hokuto no Ken with Higashino on this occasion.

Furthermore, Nakamura shared his dream of wanting to voice a character in an anime someday, having experienced his first voice acting role in the anime “Fei~Renzai -Kamisama no Nichijou-“ — in which, he said, he “went all in” because he had to perform alongside front-line voice actors — and hopes that work will one day appear on the Animedama program as well.
