About the Live-Action Blue Lock Film

The live-action Blue Lock film follows 300 high-school forwards gathered from across Japan who compete in a brutal survival program designed to forge the ultimate striker capable of leading the national team to a FIFA World Cup victory. The film opened on August 7 and crossed the ¥1 billion mark by August 25.

Editor’s Comment

“Blue Lock is a series built around the theme of ‘ego,’ but what’s remarkable is how close everyone involved actually is. They’re all passionate egoists, yet they genuinely value friendship and teamwork. When we reached out asking if anyone would help us celebrate the live-action film’s milestone, creators and anime staff alike responded warmly — allowing us to share these incredibly rare illustrations that were previously only available in limited quantities during the Blue Lock -EPISODE Nagi- theatrical run. The live-action and anime projects are separate teams, but everyone is a member of the ‘Blue Prison’ project and willing to work together beyond those boundaries. Ego, it turns out, creates an even bigger wave when combined. We hope fans enjoy these ultra-rare illustrations, and that Blue Lock keeps growing — together with all of you!”
