The TV anime Blue Lock (ブルーロック), based on the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, has been announced as a sub-sponsor of the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026, supporting the next generation of football talent.
About the Tournament
The U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 is an 11-a-side football tournament open to players born on or after January 1, 2014. The event runs for four days from August 21 to 24 across three venues in Chiba, Japan: Fukuda Denshi Field, Fukuda Denshi Square, and the JFA Dream Field Chiba Football Center.
Blue Lock’s Involvement
As part of the sponsorship, a special “Blue Lock Award” and an original trophy will be presented to a selected recipient. Additionally, all participating teams and players are set to receive bibs and backpacks featuring the Blue Lock anime logo as cheering goods.
About Blue Lock
Blue Lock follows 300 strikers gathered under an extreme training program with the goal of producing a world-class forward to lead Japan to World Cup glory. The franchise has expanded significantly since its debut:
- TV Series Season 1 aired in October 2022.
- Gekijouban Blue Lock -EPISODE Nagi-, the franchise’s first theatrical film, was released in April 2024.
- TV Series Season 2 “Blue Lock VS. U-20 JAPAN” began airing in October 2024.
