Story

For thousands of years, Japan has been protected by five clans wielding barrier-weaving magic. Eighteen-year-old Hana, born into a branch family of one such clan, has spent her life overshadowed by her more capable, beautiful, and popular twin sister. When a formidable power awakens within her, Hana chooses to conceal it in hopes of living quietly out of the spotlight.

That peaceful dream is threatened when Saku Ichinomiya assumes leadership of the Ichinomiya clan and begins searching for a bride powerful enough to stand at his side. Hana does her best to avoid him and keep her abilities hidden — but will the promise of a tranquil future be enough to tempt her into signing a marriage contract?
