Japanese audio brand Onkyo has announced a collaboration with anime film Cho Kaguya-hime! (超かぐや姫！), releasing a line of Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) true wireless earphones in three character-themed models. Pre-orders open on July 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. JST.
About the Film
Cho Kaguya-hime! is an original feature-length anime set in a virtual space called Tsukuyomi, following a group of girls whose bonds are forged through song. The film blends VTuber culture, live music, and social media into a unique audio-visual experience that resonated strongly with younger audiences. It began streaming on Netflix in January 2026 before hitting theaters on February 20, 2026. Despite initially being scheduled for just one week, the film sold out immediately upon booking and went on to attract a cumulative audience of 1.2 million viewers, grossing over 2.5 billion yen. Its theatrical run extended all the way to June 18, and a revival screening — including special formats — is scheduled for September 18.
Three Character Models with Exclusive Voice Guidance
The earphone lineup, officially titled Wireless Earphone CP-TWS01E Cho Kaguya-hime! Collaboration Model, comes in three versions corresponding to the film’s main characters:
- Kaguya (CV: Yuko Natsuyoshi)
- Sakayori Ayaha (CV: Anna Nagase)
- Tsukimi Yachiyo (CV: Saori Hayami)
Each model’s earphone housings and charging case are designed around the respective character’s image color and decorated with character-specific motifs. The standout feature is newly recorded voice guidance by each character’s actual voice actress — covering 13 words and phrases per model, triggered by actions such as powering on/off, Bluetooth pairing, and tap sounds.
