A Career That Started at 15

Amano entered the anime industry at just 15 years old, joining the storied Tatsunoko Production studio. Over the decades, he has lent his distinctive visual style to a wide range of anime and video game projects. He is perhaps best known internationally for his character designs for Vampire Hunter D and his iconic artwork for the Final Fantasy series. He also collaborated with celebrated English graphic novelist Neil Gaiman on Sandman: The Dream Hunters, a work that bridged Japanese artistry and Western storytelling.
