Crunchyroll has announced that its dedicated Crunchyroll Manga app is expanding to several new regions, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Asia, and the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) region. The app originally launched on iOS and Android in the United States and Canada in October 2025.
The Crunchyroll Manga app is a standalone application separate from Crunchyroll’s main streaming service and offers an entirely ad-free reading experience.
PS5 Anime Hub Coming Next Spring
Crunchyroll also revealed that it will be prominently featured in a new dedicated Anime Hub launching on the PlayStation 5 console next spring. The hub will serve as a centralized space for anime content on PS5 and will also include anime games and anime-inspired games alongside the streaming service.
Crunchyroll Leaving Nintendo Switch
On the other hand, Crunchyroll will discontinue its main app on the Nintendo Switch on October 30. The service remains available on Xbox, PlayStation, mobile devices, media players, Smart TVs, through service providers, and via web browsers.
Price Increases and End of Free Streaming
Crunchyroll raised subscription prices across all tiers in the U.S. back in February, and last December the platform ended its free ad-supported streaming option entirely.
