Crunchyroll has officially begun streaming the OVA for the television anime Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai, also known internationally as Isekai Office Worker: The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter. The OVA is presented as Episode 13, following the main series.
The anime is based on the boys-love light novels by writer Yatsuki Weakest and illustrator Kikka Ohashi. The OVA was previously released with the anime’s third Blu-ray Disc and DVD set, which went on sale on May 27.
Crunchyroll describes the OVA’s story as follows:
Five days after Kondo moves in with Aresh, he happens to come across a magical tool that resembles a kaleidoscope.
Crunchyroll currently streams the series in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and the Indian subcontinent. It also previously held the anime’s premiere screening at Anime Frontier on December 14.

Production Staff
The anime is produced by Studio DEEN under the direction of Shinji Ishihara, with Yoshiko Nakamura handling series scripts. Both have previously worked on boys-love anime such as Sasaki and Miyano, Super Lovers, and Tadaima, Okaeri. Akira Yamada serves as assistant director, and Maki Fujii, who designed characters for Sasaki and Miyano, returns to handle character design for this work. The music is composed by Megumi Ōhashi and produced by Nippon Columbia.
About the Original Work
The original light novel began publication in February 2019, with the third volume released in September 2021. The manga version began serialization on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website, now KadoComi, in March 2020, and the seventh volume was released on October 31. The combined circulation of the manga and light novels is currently 1.4 million copies.
For international fans, Yen Press has licensed both the light novels and manga for English release.
