Kadokawa announced on Sunday that the second season of Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi), the television anime adaptation of Ryōko Kui‘s manga produced by Studio Trigger, will premiere in October 2027 and will stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide. Studio Trigger first broke the news at Anime Expo on Saturday.
Alongside the announcement, the team unveiled an “ultra teaser visual” for the upcoming season.
The event also confirmed that the “Delicious in Dungeon ~Dungeon Exploration Radio~” program will resume streaming from Sunday onward, hosted by voice actors Kentarō Kumagai (Laios) and Sayaka Senbongi (Marcille).
The “Ryōko Kui Exhibition” and “Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition” are currently running in Los Angeles through July 26.

Season 1 Recap & Story
The first season debuted in January 2024 on Netflix worldwide and ran for 24 episodes.
The series follows young adventurer Laios and his companions, who are left penniless and without provisions after a devastating dragon attack deep in a dungeon. Determined to press on and rescue a lost party member, Laios proposes an unconventional solution: eating the monsters themselves. Slimes, basilisks, mimics, and even dragons all end up on the menu as the group turns dungeon survival into a culinary adventure.
Kui launched the manga in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine in February 2014, concluding the series in September 2023. Yen Press holds the English-language license.
