Discotek Media used its panel at Otakon on Saturday to unveil a sweeping lineup of anime home video releases planned for 2026, spanning classic series, beloved romcoms, and long-awaited upgrades.

Lupin III: Part II — All 155 Episodes in One Set

Discotek will collect all 155 episodes of Lupin III: Part II into a single SD Blu-ray Disc set, featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles and all existing English dubs. The series originally ran from 1977 to 1980 and had a notable Adult Swim broadcast run in the United States in 2003. Discotek first licensed the series in 2015 and previously released it across four DVD collections from 2017 through 2020.

Lupin Zero Net Anime

Discotek also announced a release for the “hard action” net anime centered on Inspector Zenigata — Lupin’s perennial nemesis and occasional ally — as the lead. The story opens with a terrorist bombing at an airport in the wintry “Roviet Union” (a wordplay on the Japanese name for the Soviet Union), with Lupin as the prime suspect. After Zenigata apprehends him, the inspector finds himself entangled in a conspiracy that appears to involve more than one Lupin. The anime began streaming in Japan, including on Amazon Prime Video, in June 2025, and Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. made it available to rent or buy digitally this past March.

Toradora! — A Beloved Romcom Returns on Blu-ray

Toradora! will receive a Blu-ray Disc release in October, including Japanese audio with English subtitles, an English dub, and all bonus features from the previous NIS America release. The anime first aired in 2008 and is based on Yuyuko Takemiya‘s light novel series. Tatsuyuki Nagai directed the series at J.C. Staff, with Mari Okada handling series composition.

The story follows Ryuji Takasu, a kind-hearted student saddled with an intimidating face that makes people mistake him for a delinquent, and Taiga Aisaka, the fiery “Palm-top Tiger” who happens to be best friends with the girl Ryuji loves. The two form an unlikely pact to help each other win over their respective crushes.

Digimon Frontier — Season 4 Arrives in HD

Digimon Frontier (Digimon Season 4) will come to Blu-ray Disc in HD in October. The initial release will carry the English dub only; a separate subtitled release is planned for a later date. The series originally aired from 2002 to 2003.

Digimon the Movies: Collection 3

Discotek also announced Digimon the Movies: Collection 3 on Blu-ray Disc, which will include:

• Digimon Frontier Movie — subtitled, with a restored English dub
• Digimon Savers the Movie – Ultimate Power! Burst Mode Invoke!! — subtitled only
• Digital Monster X-Evolution — subtitled only; the company noted it will use existing masters and the video quality will be rough

Pani Poni Dash!

Pani Poni Dash! will arrive on SD Blu-ray Disc this year. The anime is based on Hekiru Hikawa‘s manga, directed by Akiyuki Simbo with Shin Ōnuma as series director. The release will include Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English dub. The series originally aired in 2005.

Tales of the Abyss

The Tales of the Abyss anime adaptation of the popular JRPG will come to Blu-ray Disc in HD this year, with Japanese audio and English subtitles. The series aired from 2008 to 2009.

Patlabor — TV Series, OVA, and Films

Discotek announced three separate Patlabor the Mobile Police releases for 2026:

• TV Series — with improved subtitles, significantly better video quality over prior releases, and an uncut English dub
• The New Files OVA — English dub for the first four episodes; full series in Japanese with English subtitles
• Patlabor: The Movies — all three theatrical films (Patlabor: The Movie, Patlabor 2: The Movie, Patlabor WXIII) plus three Mini Pato shorts, with both subtitles and an English dub

The Big O — Both Seasons on Blu-ray in October

The Big O will arrive on Blu-ray Disc in October with both seasons, offering Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English dub. Season 2 will include the 5.1 audio mix of the English dub. Season 1 aired from 1999 to 2000, and Season 2 aired in 2003.

Mawaru Penguindrum — Major Video Upgrade

Kunihiko Ikuhara’s Mawaru Penguindrum will come to Blu-ray Disc in October with heavy video improvements over prior releases and a new 24p encode. The release includes Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English dub. The 24-episode series first aired in 2011.

Memories — Katsuhiro Ōtomo’s Anthology Film in 4K UHD

The science fiction anthology film Memories, presented by Katsuhiro Ōtomo, will receive a major upgrade with a 4K UHD HDR release. It will include Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English dub. The film originally debuted in 1995.

Samurai Pizza Cats — HD Remaster, All 52 Episodes

Samurai Pizza Cats will come to Blu-ray Disc in a new HD version remastered from film, featuring all 52 episodes. The initial release will include the English dub only; a Japanese-language subtitled version will follow at a later date. The series first aired from 1990 to 1991.

Infinite Ryvius and Argento Soma

Infinite Ryvius, the 1999–2000 sci-fi series, will come to Blu-ray Disc with Japanese 5.1 audio, English subtitles, and an English dub.

Argento Soma, which aired from 2000 to 2001, will arrive on SD Blu-ray Disc with Japanese audio, English subtitles, an English dub, and clean openings and endings.

Outlanders OVA — AstroRes Upscale

The Outlanders OVA, based on Johji Manabe‘s manga, will come to Blu-ray Disc in October with an AstroRes-powered upscale, polished subtitles, and both English dubs. The OVA originally debuted in 1986.

• Kamen Rider Super 1 — Blu-ray Disc in October; first BD release for the series
• New Female Prisoner Scorpion #701 — first Blu-ray Disc release for the film, in October
• New Female Prisoner Scorpion: Cell Block X — first time on home video in the U.S. and first time on Blu-ray Disc; launching later in 2026
