The manga 「毒を喰らわば愛まで」(Doku wo Kurawa ba Ai made) by Chizuru Fujishiro (藤代千鶴) officially released its first volume on June 1 under TO Books’ Corona Comics label.
Synopsis
Luciana, a girl from the slums who became a sister and cares for an orphanage, is actually the illegitimate daughter of the head of the Arcadia family, one of the five underground organizations that rule the criminal underworld. Her peaceful life changes instantly when the current head of the family, known as King, orders her to return.
The condition is that she must bring a fiance to take part in a vow ceremony and compete for the position of the next family head. If she fails, she will be expelled from the family forever. Being cast out would not only threaten her own life but also interrupt the care of the orphanage, forcing Luciana to urgently search for a partner for the ceremony.
The story takes a turn when Ral, the young leader of a rival organization, walks in and asks to marry her himself. Thus begins an unexpected forbidden relationship between an overlooked mafia daughter and the boss of an enemy organization.
