This work is a manga adaptation of the original light novel by 楓原こうた (Kaedehara Kōta), with art by 猫屋敷まちか (Nekoyashiki Machika).
Story Synopsis
Haruka Aslan, the son of a high-ranking noble family, has long been devoted to a fictional hero character known as “The Shadow Hero” — an anonymous champion who secretly helps people in distress. Inspired by this ideal, he takes it upon himself to follow the hero’s footsteps, operating under the alias “The Little Hero” to aid those in need in ways that won’t attract attention.
What makes his situation even more ironic is that, as “The Shadow Hero” of his stories, he often portrays himself as a worthless, incompetent person — believing he has successfully fooled everyone. In reality, the people around him already know who he truly is; they simply pretend not to, all to protect the pure dream of this earnest young man.
One day, Haruka encounters Alice, a girl whose life he once saved in the forest as a child. Their reunion is what will change his fate forever.
