The first official recipe book born from a collaboration between Ryoko Kui‘s Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon) and KADOKAWA cooking magazine Lettuce Club has gone on sale. Titled Official Recipe Book: Make Dungeon Meshi at Home (公式レシピブック おうちで作れるダンジョン飯), the book launched on July 31.
43 Monster Dishes Recreated for the Home Kitchen
The book collects 43 recipes inspired by the monster cuisine featured throughout the manga and anime, including Roast Basilisk, Man-Eating Plant Tart, Flame Dragon Cutlet, and Succubus & Bicorn Brain Doria. Every dish has been adapted to use ingredients and seasonings readily available at ordinary supermarkets. The recipes were developed by popular cooking expert Miki Ikeda, a familiar name from Lettuce Club’s cooking features. Presentation closely mirrors the look of the dishes in the original work, and the flavors have been personally approved by author Ryoko Kui.
New Illustrations and an Exclusive Manga
The book is packed with newly drawn illustrations by Kui on both the cover and interior pages. A special manga story readable only in this volume is also included at the back of the book.
Special Edition and Merchandise
A special edition exclusive to KADOKAWA’s official online store KadoSto comes bundled with an acrylic coaster featuring a newly drawn illustration of all six main characters — Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi, Falin, and Izutsumi — dressed in aprons.
Merchandise using the book’s new illustrations is also available for pre-order on KadoSto until August 9, spanning 5 item types and 18 designs, including T-shirts, mugs, and color illustration plates. Orders are scheduled to ship from late October onward.
