Fans of Sousou no Frieren (葬送のフリーレン) can now step into the world of the beloved anime at Agricultural Resort THE FARM in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture. The glamping collaboration, titled “Weaving Memories — A Journey of Stars and Campfire”, runs from 17 July to 16 October 2026 — a three-month limited event open exclusively to glamping guests.

About THE FARM

THE FARM is one of the largest glamping resorts in the Kanto region, covering over 100,000 square metres — equivalent to more than two Tokyo Dome stadiums. The facility has won awards at the Outdoor Innovation Summit for six consecutive years and has been inducted into its Hall of Fame. Despite its scale, it is easily accessible: just about 90 minutes by highway bus from Tokyo Station. On-site amenities include a café-restaurant, a hot-spring bathhouse, and multiple accommodation types ranging from glamping tents to two-storey HABITA rooms and cottages.

Through the Secret Door

The Frieren collaboration zone begins at a locked door that can only be opened with a special code — a fittingly adventurous touch. Beyond it, a row of glamping tents awaits, each fully air-conditioned and equipped with a proper bed, refrigerator, kettle, and Wi-Fi. Bedding is printed with the Aura Meteor (エーラ流星) pattern, one of the most memorable motifs from the series, and a small shared notebook invites guests to record their own “adventure logs.”

Check-in Like a Hero — and Handle the Weapons

Before heading to their tents, guests check in at the Glamping Lounge, decorated with the collab’s key visual and life-size standees of Frieren, Fern, and Stark. The lounge doubles as a mini museum where visitors can freely touch and photograph prop replicas, including:

• Frieren’s and Fern’s staves
• Stark’s axe (with realistic weight)
• Frieren’s necklace, the Proof of the Holy Staff (聖杖の証)
• The Horn of the Dark Dragon (暗黒竜の角), the item Himmel kept in a wardrobe for 50 years
• A highly detailed Mimic chest — guests can actually stick their head inside and “get eaten”

The hands-on approach sets this exhibition apart from typical anime events where props are display-only.

BBQ Dinner and Merkur-Style Pudding

Evenings are spent at an open-air terrace BBQ, with all equipment and ingredients — including thick, juicy cuts of meat and farm-fresh vegetables — provided by the resort. A resident “BBQ master” runs a short tutorial for first-timers before each session. Dessert is the star of the meal: Merkur-style Pudding (メルクーア風プリン), Frieren’s favourite sweet, served as a lightly sweetened milk pudding topped with berry sauce and character flags.

Village Festival, Himmel’s Statue, and a Romantic Photo Spot

As evening falls, a village festival atmosphere takes over the glamping area, with warm tent lights illuminating the grounds. At the centre stands a statue of the hero Himmel, flanked by flags bearing his sword motif and those of his companions. Nearby activities include making S’mores over a campfire, stargazing through a telescope, and a Struck Out target-throwing game inspired by Fern’s famous feat of shattering a boulder.

One of the most popular spots is a romantic diorama of Frieren and Himmel surrounded by blue flowers — Himmel kneeling, Frieren extending her left hand as if to receive the Mirror Lotus ring (鏡蓮華). The scene can be photographed from every angle.

Hot Springs, Manga, and a Morning Harvest

After a full day of activities, guests can unwind at Ofuro Cafe Karin-no-Yu, the resort’s on-site hot-spring facility, which features skin-nourishing mineral water and a sauna. The café’s manga corner stocks Sousou no Frieren, and during the collab period a life-size Frieren standee — reportedly in a playful “blowing a kiss” pose — will also be on display there.

The next morning, THE FARM Café serves a breakfast buffet showcasing Chiba Prefecture ingredients: Rokkoku-mai rice and Masaue tsukudani from Katori City, specialty hojicha from long-established Ogawa-en in Sakura City, and Yamato-imo yam from Tako Town, alongside vegetables grown on the farm itself.

The final activity is a vegetable harvest in the farm’s fields, which cultivate over 100 varieties. Guests pick their own kale, green beans, and peppers (including a low-bitterness “kids’ pepper” variety), with gloves and scissors provided. The harvest is capped at a set amount per person, though the abundance of choices makes it easy to fill a souvenir bag quickly.
