The new manga series 「不遇な平民聖女は辺境の地で再愛を誓う」 (The Unfortunate Commoner Saint Swears to Love Again in the Borderlands), based on an original work by Ageha Sakura with manga art by Sakura, officially began early distribution on Renta! on June 3.
Synopsis
Olivia, a young woman with the powers of a saint, lives in a temple while enduring oppression and injustice. The one thing that has kept her heart going is the promise made by Leo, her first love, who once told her, “When you turn 18, I will come for you.”
When Olivia finally turns 18, the age when saints are allowed to leave the temple, she waits anxiously for Leo. But he never appears. To make matters worse, a corrupt bishop takes the pendant necklace that symbolizes their promised reunion and uses it as a condition to force Olivia to travel to a remote borderland at the edge of the world, a place crawling with monsters.
In the depths of despair, Olivia journeys to that land and meets Gilbert, the lord who governs the region. His face and presence strangely remind her of Leo, her first love. Where will the fate of this unfinished promise lead?
