The Japanese anime voice acting community has lost another important figure. Fujiwara Takahiro (Fujiwara Takahiro), a renowned voice actor, passed away on May 14, having lived only 43 years.

The news was confirmed through the official website of Ken Production, his talent agency. The statement noted that a funeral was held quietly as the family wished, with only close relatives in attendance.

Fujiwara Takahiro was highly regarded among anime fans. Born in Hokkaido, he celebrated his birthday on July 15. Throughout his career, he delivered memorable performances in numerous acclaimed anime series, including:

  • Kurogiri in Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia)
  • Shima Goichi in Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z
  • Jerome Guizbatt in BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War
  • Kanjou in Kingdom — though notably, it was announced in August 2025 that he had to step down from this role due to health reasons

Beyond anime voice work, he also had credits in film and overseas productions, including the role of Selden in the film The Last Escape, Machine Gun Captain in Cyborg X, and Crawford in the series CSI.

Colleagues and fans have sent an outpouring of tributes mourning his passing. May Fujiwara Takahiro rest in peace.
