Anime music fans, get ready! It has been announced that soundtrack albums from the acclaimed TV anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (攻殻機動隊 STAND ALONE COMPLEX), with music composed by Yoko Kanno, will be reissued on vinyl (analog) format across two release windows: July 22 and August 26. Additionally, the vinyl soundtrack for the anime film Innocence (イノセンス) will also be included.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Release Details
The Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime series aired on Nippon TV starting in 2002 and spanned two seasons, with all music composed by Yoko Kanno. This time, all five CD albums will be pressed onto vinyl, with the release schedule as follows:
- July 22: O.S.T.+, O.S.T. 2, and be Human (3 titles)
- August 26: O.S.T. 3 and Solid State Society O.S.T. (2 titles)
Innocence Vinyl Soundtrack
The anime film Innocence, directed by Mamoru Oshii with music by Kenji Kawai, will also receive a vinyl edition of its original soundtrack on the same date — August 26.
Online Music Release and Special Campaign
The FlyingDog YouTube channel has selected 14 tracks from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex to release online at a rate of one track per week, beginning May 25. The first track released is “inner universe”, performed by Origa.
Additionally, the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex vinyl releases will include a QR code for entering a lottery to win an album cover art T-shirt, available in up to 5 designs, with 50 winners chosen per design.
