The anime Gintama (銀魂) is teaming up with the renowned takoyaki chain Tsukiji Gindaco (築地銀だこ) for a collaboration event fans won’t want to miss. The event runs from May 28 – August 10, 2026 at Tsukiji Gindaco branches across Japan (excluding some locations such as those inside sports stadiums, racecourses, and certain special event venues).
About Gintama
Gintama is a beloved long-running title that has captivated anime fans for decades, weaving together outrageous comedy, all-out action, and heartfelt bonds of friendship — all set against the backdrop of an Edo period society turned upside-down by alien invaders known as “Amanto.” The TV anime series ran continuously from 2006 for 13 years, concluding with episode 367 in October 2018. Beyond the series, there have been several animated film entries, including 劇場版 銀魂 新訳紅桜篇 (2010), 劇場版銀魂 完結篇 万事屋よ永遠なれ (2013) — both scripted directly by original creator Hideaki Sorachi — 銀魂 THE FINAL (2021), which adapts the concluding arc, and most recently 新劇場版 銀魂 -吉原炎上-, bringing the celebrated “Yoshiwara炎上篇” storyline to the big screen in widescreen CinemaScope format, opening on February 13, 2026.
