The TV series Girls & Panzer (ガールズ＆パンツァー) — all 12 episodes — is available for unlimited streaming in Japan on DMM TV, U-NEXT, dアニメストア (d Anime Store), and Hulu. Episode-by-episode rental is available on Amazon Prime Video, and DVD postal rental is offered through TSUTAYA DISCAS.
This guide covers the streaming landscape as of October 2026, timed for fans who want to revisit the original series before watching Girls & Panzer: Das Finale Part 5, which began its theatrical run on 9 October 2026.
About the Series
Girls & Panzer is an original TV anime directed by Tsutomu Mizushima and produced by studio Actas. It aired on TOKYO MX and other channels from October 2012 to March 2013, spanning 12 episodes plus recap episodes 5.5 and 10.5.
The story is set in a world where “Sensha-dō” (戦車道) — the art of tank combat — is considered a refined pursuit for young women, on par with flower arrangement and the tea ceremony. Miho Nishizumi, heir to the prestigious Nishizumi school of Sensha-dō, transfers to Ooarai Girls Academy specifically because it has no tank program — only to be asked by the student council to revive it. She assembles a ragtag team and enters the national tournament.
The series is celebrated for its meticulously animated tank battles — featuring real WWII-era vehicles, authentic sound design, and tactical depth that plays out like a sports anime — alongside a warm coming-of-age story about teamwork and self-discovery.

Which Service to Choose?
For viewers who want to watch all 12 episodes before Das Finale Part 5, DMM TV offers the best value at ¥550/month — the lowest price among unlimited plans — with a 14-day free trial and 550 welcome points for new subscribers. Those who only want to rewatch a specific battle episode may find Amazon Prime Video’s per-episode rental convenient, though watching all 12 episodes that way costs more than any unlimited plan.
